Best Italian community café is CareTrade’s working classroom where young people with autism from Spa School in Southwark are gaining real hands on work experience and learning new social skills in preparation for the difficult transition from school to adult life.

Transition is an important time for all young people and one that is traditionally celebrated as a ‘right of passage’ to adulthood and all that life has to offer. But for those with autism and their families it can often be a stressful, frightening and bewildering time.

Best Italian is a Social Enterprise company that has been set up especially to create an environment where young people with autism can gain skills, become a part of their community and prove to themselves and others just how much they can achieve with the right support structure in place. What’s more, every penny of profit goes to realise the aims of CareTrade.

So we need everyone to support Best Italian by coming along for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. We have the most delicious selection of homemade Panini’s, pasta dishes and homemade cakes. We are also proud of Best Italian’s growing reputation for great fresh food and artisanal Italian food products.
